“She comprehended the perversity of life, that in the struggle lies the joy.” ― Maya Angelou⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

We are in times of great uncertainty and life as we know it has been put on pause indefinitely. While this can be incredibly challenging for many of us, it can also be an opportunity for self-reflection. Join me on May 30th @10am pst in reading Maya Angelou’s classic, “I Know Why the Caged Bird Sings” and let’s meet virtually to discuss the book, journal together and share our thoughts.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
While we will make our best efforts to finish the book on time, please do your best to read at least half the book. In preparation for our event, please select one passage from the book that resonates with you the most to share.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Tickets are pay what you can. If you are under- or unemployed or financially insecure, we would love for you to join us for free. You will be sent an email with a Zoom link the evening before the event.
