Did you know I decided to start a podcast?! If you follow me on Instagram or Facebook, you already know this. If this was me a few years ago, I would’ve spent a lot of time thinking about it, weighing the options, setting up very strict expectations of how often it would come out, planning guests, interview questions, etc… i.e. my perfectionist self. I would’ve been crippled and delayed with researching and worried about whether or not anyone would want to listen or what they would think of me. But I let go of perfection when I started this journey so here is how it happened this time…

  • I’m inspired to start a podcast!
  • Gut check… it feels right and I’ll call it Coffee with Intention!
  • I’ll have my friend Anne Miller on it because we’ve been talking a lot about relationships so I text her right away to schedule (luckily she agreed).
  • On the day, I wrote a quick intro right before the show and with the general topic in mind, we just recorded the conversation.

I decided that I would figure out how to post and register it and all the stuff you’re supposed to know how to do as it went along and so I’ve just been going with the flow. Luckily, I already owned a high quality microphone and knew how to edit audio. Currently, I have no set plans for how often it will come out or how many episodes or how long it will last but life has been about embracing inspiration and imperfection, going with my gut and trusting that whatever succeeds or fails, I will survive.

I have been thinking about doing something different with Coffee with Intention for a while and the podcast feels like just the right pivot. When I thought about what I would call the podcast, it felt natural to call it that. This means I won’t be doing the monthly meetings anymore and I’m not sure if I’ll do them again or quarterly or what but I am okay being in the space of the unknown with it right now.

If you would like to listen, you can find the Coffee with Intention podcast here.
