The more that we step into the value of who we are and what is moving through us, the more powerful we will be in our speaking and our ability to shape and change the world.

How do you make an authentic ask? One of the lessons from this month’s WomanSpeak curriculum is owning the value of ourselves, our voices and our vision. KC Baker shares this lesson in this month’s videos and how this serves as the foundation of the program.

When we need to make an ask, whether it’s for personal life or for work, we often get caught up in what words to use, how we sound, and our fear of rejection. So how do we get through these things?

Instead of making it just about us, we can lean into the inherent value of our voice and vision and see the ask as your service to something greater than you.

For example, when it comes to asking people to join WomanSpeak, I can make it all about not wanting to bother people, fear of people saying no and worrying about having enough members to generate income. But that is not why I teach this program. Instead, I focus on the greater vision because at the end of the day, WomanSpeak isn’t really about me. It’s about serving the higher vision of the program which is to create a world where women are able to trust themselves, know their worth and speak up.

So I would like you to join me in this vision by considering joining the program or if you’ve already been considering, reach out to me to chat. Learning to speak up in an authentic way is a life-changing experience and when we learn to do this, we start uplifting other women’s voices and that’s how we change the world.
