This Solo Show features highlights from the event Stories of Adversity & Resilience held earlier this month in celebration of International Women’s Day and Women’s History Month.
The speakers were all current students or graduates of the WomanSpeak program. The speaker, in order of appearance, were:
- Karin Winsweiler – an interior designer and owner of Winsweiler Design and lives in Seattle, WA with her two children, Hope and Joy, and husband Jon. Her talk is titled, “Trusting Life Again.”
- Carol Gavhane – is co-founder of Asha Blooms, an intentional jewelry company born out of her journey with infertility where each piece is paired with meaningful words to serve as an uplifting and affirming reminder. Her talk is titled, “Lessons Learned from the Fertility Journey.”
- Amber Kolln – is a Mama of one, wife, and event coordinator, taking life one moment at a time. Her talk is titled, “Finding Belonging.”
- Aga Lawrynowicz – mom of two and stepmom of two, life coach and mentor for moms. Her talk is titled, “Learning Resilience.”
- Elizabeth LeBarron – an entrepreneur and friend who has navigated the ups and downs of mental illness since her teen years. Her experiences creating stability for herself amongst the challenges inspired the recent founding of her cannabis edibles brand. Her talk is titled, “Starting Over…Again.”
- Stephanie Policar – a nutrition coach, culinary instructor, wine consultant, & mom to two daughters who helps people with food allergies navigate everyday situations in a safe, easy and fun way so they can look and feel their best. Her talk is titled, “Finding My Voice.”
- Tricia Bolender – a strategy consultant and executive coach focused on helping leaders align with their true purpose and authentic power. Her talk is titled, “The Gifts of IVF.”
The closing song is “I Am Resilient” by Rising Appalachia.
