How funny that right before hosting the Real Talk Live Panel last week on self-love a couple weeks ago, I opened up my tea to find this message. “The purpose of life is to know yourself and love yourself and trust yourself and be yourself.” YES! I totally believe this to be true with my whole mind, heart and soul.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

I think when people think about purpose, they confuse it with natural talent or skill. But I don’t believe that’s how you find purpose and I don’t believe purpose has anything to do with what we do. I think purpose is whatever it is you are doing in life that teaches you those valuable lessons that lead you to fully accept, trust and love yourself. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
I often talk about women’s portrait work as my purpose. But what if I stopped being a photographer? Would that mean my purpose is over? Of course not. I do what I do because when I discovered it as my calling three years ago, it was really to save me, to learn to shine my light, to learn to trust myself and fully embody my worth. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Purpose shifts and changes throughout life because we learn our worthiness in a multitude of ways during different periods of life. I believe we all have purpose because we are all worthy of love. We just have to do the things that remind us of that.
