“A Portrait of Mom” represents the culmination of all the work I’ve been doing to build a portrait studio. Photographing women, especially mom portraits, and showing them their true selves and inner beauty is incredibly fulfilling. Women, especially moms, do so much for our families and it’s easy to lose touch with ourselves. We stop thinking about what we need, what we want, and who we are. I want to get all moms in front of the camera. I want to show them the woman they haven’t thought of in a while. It’s a declaration that they deserve to be seen and that they matter.
