If you’re anything like us, you’ve had a complex relationship with your Asian American identity―at times, turning away from it and wanting to blend in and at others, taking immense pride in your ancestry. Our Asian Pacific American diaspora is a richly diverse community encompassing a multitude of varying cultures and languages. While there are differences, we also share common experiences, beliefs and attitudes that helped shape us. And let’s be real, how many times have we all been asked, “Where are you from? No, where are you really from?”

In honor of Asian Pacific American Heritage month, let’s gather virtually at the YELLOW Summit for honest conversation about our shared identity―where we’ve been, where we’re going, and what success looks like if (gasp!) you’re not a doctor.
