At our last Coffee with Intention, we talked about how we were raised to be resilient. Many of us grew up being told to toughen up, to move on, to not feel, to become hard and immune to the world. How were you raised to be resilient? ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

When we discussed what resilience truly was today, especially through the lens of going through hard times and growth, we had a much different definition. We redefined resilience as soft, vulnerable, being able to feel, and above all, staying true to the core of who you are. But in order to do that, we had to accept the storms outside of us by bending and being flexible, much as the trees sway in the wind. What does resilience mean to you?⠀
