“You gain strength, courage, and confidence by every experience in which you really stop to look fear in the face. You must do the thing which you think you cannot do.”
—Eleanor Roosevelt
I held my first workshop called “Unleashed” in collaboration with Chloe from Gather Seattle and Lauren from Velé. This collaboration came about when I met Lauren at a women founders group meeting. Our missions were so aligned that we met after for coffee and she connected me to Chloe.
Approximately fifteen women gathered together in Pioneer Square at the Jackson St. Studio to engage in a workshop, led by me, on the importance of unleashing our fears to discover and embrace our worth as women. I led a talk about my greatest fear of speaking, how I overcame it and then led three exercises based on prompts about fear. We journalized our thoughts and feelings, shared them and felt inspired to face some of our fears. It was an amazing gathering of creative women from all walks of life sharing our biggest, singular fears.
